Same-day cover
For private English-language academies in Spain

A relief TEFL teacher,
before the next bell.

Three steps from ringing in sick to ringing the bell

How it works — in 3 steps.

The whole exchange fits inside one morning. Pick the path that fits your morning — academy or teacher.

01

Your teacher calls in sick or drops out

We just need a short message — the academy, the time, the room, the group (niños, adolescentes, adultos), and the CEFR level. No multi-step intake form. Most mornings the whole note is two lines long.

02

Tap once — we match a vetted cover

Our dispatcher pulls from a Spain-based network of background-checked, TEFL-qualified teachers filtered to your curriculum, age group, and topic. Confirmation lands in your inbox before the morning class list is finalised.

03

A qualified instructor walks in at the bell

Your lesson plans run as written. Parents and students see no change — and your academic coordinator keeps the morning free to run the centre, not the classroom.

The cover process

Four steps from ringing in sick to ringing the bell.

BellCover turns unplanned teacher absences from a costly disruption into a routine operational event. The whole exchange fits inside one morning.

  1. Your teacher calls in sick

The academy messages or emails BellCover as soon as the absence is known. No long intake form — name, time, room, group, and CEFR level (A2–C1).

  2. We match a cover in minutes

Our dispatcher pulls from a curated, Spain-based network of background-checked, TEFL-qualified instructors filtered by the academy's age group (niños, adolescentes, adultos), CEFR level, and teaching style.

  3. A confirmation lands in your inbox

You receive the cover teacher's name, profile summary, and arrival time. Lesson plans can be forwarded to them directly — they will run them as written.

  4. The bell rings, the class runs

A real instructor walks in. Parents and students see no change; your academic coordinator gets the morning back to run the centre, not the classroom.

Two sides, one service

Built for the academy and the teacher who turns up.

Standards & vetting

The teacher at your door is the teacher we’d send ours.

Every cover teacher in the BellCover network has been through the same gate. We apply what an academic coordinator would want to check before they walk into a classroom with someone else’s students.

Qualification

A recognised TEFL or CELTA certificate at 120 hours or more, plus observed teaching in a private academy setting.

Background

A current background check for Spain (certificado de antecedentes penales) — or the local equivalent for cross-border placements.

References

At least one placement reference, taken directly, before the teacher enters the dispatch pool.

Continuity

Once an academy works with a teacher they like, we route future covers back to that teacher first.
